ABOUT THE ARTWORK

The canvas depicts cornflowers delicately blooming in a simple vase. The loose, sketch-like painting style adds lightness and spontaneity to the composition, highlighting the natural beauty of the flowers. Soft, blurred brushstrokes of oil paint create the effect of lively movement in the petals, while the rich blue color of the cornflowers contrasts with the warm background. The painting conveys a sense of calm and harmony, as if inviting the viewer to immerse themselves in the moment of contemplating this simple yet profound natural beauty.

The painting is done in oil paints on Italian canvas in a classical manner.

Hanna Zakharchenko

Born in 1986 in Sumy, Ukraine. Currently living and working in Calgary, Canada.

I am a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists (2023) and the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (2017). My works have been showcased in numerous exhibitions in Ukraine, Italy, Canada, and other countries. I have received awards for outstanding paintings and decorative art pieces.

In my work, I explore philosophical questions of human existence, subconsciousness, and potential. Inspired by nature, psychology, and self-reflection, I create paintings that invite viewers to engage in an inner dialogue.

By combining realism and abstraction, I aim to convey harmony between the physical world and the energy surrounding us. My art serves as a bridge between the visible and the invisible, an invitation to reflection and beauty.
